Job SummaryThe FPS Drummer is responsible for operating and maintaining drum equipment to support consistent, high-quality flake production. This role ensures drum performance meets key operational metrics, maintains sanitation standards, manages product flow, and contributes to waste reduction. The FPS Drummer plays a critical role in maintaining smooth production, supporting food safety, and contributing to overall plant efficiency.
Role Development & Cross-TrainingIn addition to core responsibilities, this position requires cross‑training in other line position duties to ensure operational coverage as needed. It is expected to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to perform effectively the line tasks and may be considered for advancement opportunities based on performance, proficiency, and business needs.
Forklift certification is expected to be obtained as part of the employee's role within 30 days of hire date.
EssentialJob Duties /Key Accountabilities
Run drum systems effectively to achieve daily performance targets and support overall production goals.
Complete required cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure equipment meets food safety and operational standards.
Shovel and remove mashed product from pans to required levels to maintain steady product flow and avoid production delays.
Minimize dry and wet waste by following proper handling practices and monitoring product throughout the process.
Assist in maintaining consistent operations by monitoring equipment, reporting issues, and working closely with the team to prevent downtime.
Adhere to all plant safety guidelines, food safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or food processing preferred.
- Experience operating drum equipment or similar machinery is a plus.
- Prior work in environments requiring sanitation or physical labor is beneficial.
- Ability to operate and monitor production equipment safely and effectively.
- Basic understanding of production flow, waste reduction, and equipment performance.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Physical ability to shovel product, lift materials, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Problem‑solving skills to identify and report equipment or process issues promptly.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage workload efficiently.
- Manufacturing Plant Environment.
- Must lift/move up to 50 lbs.

- All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality, safety issues, or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.
