Job Summary:

As a Deli Clerk at Broulim’s, you'll be the face of our deli department, delivering top‑onb service and providing customers with a diverse selection of high‑quality deli products. From slicing meats and cheeses to creating appetizing deli trays, your role is essential in creating a positive and delicious shopping experience.

Primary Supervisor:
Deli Manager

• Assist customers in the deli department, offering product information and recommendations.
• Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.
• Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders, events, and catering orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli counter area, including regular sanitization of equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and stock deli products, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.
• Operate deli department equipment, such as slicers and scales, following safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.

• Familiarity with deli products, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
• Basic understanding of deli department equipment and tools.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Precision in slicing and weighing deli products.
• Ability to operate deli department equipment safely.

• Previous experience in a deli or customer service role is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic deli products and preparation techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer‑focused with a positive and friendly attitude.
• 16 years or older to operate fryers and oven, and 18 years or older to operate the slicer.
