Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician
Overview
An ITS Field Service Technician is critical to helping us provide outstanding customer service and technical solutions in a team environment. Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, the Field Service Technician is responsible for installing and repairing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for various clients throughout the US. Rotating shifts, extensive travel and overtime hours are required. This posting is ideal for someone in the Boise, Idaho area.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:
Customer Service Excellence- Maintain client relations by communicating with and training customers on the use of deployed systems.
- Work with people from other areas of the company (e.g. Technical Support, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, etc.) to resolve any technical, design or functional issues.
- Provide unparalleled solutions-based service excellence during all interactions with others.
- Provide accurate and detailed record-keeping for service work performed, in Quarter hill's standard format including on-site record and electronic reporting via a web-based service ticket reporting tool.
- Assist in the installation and integration of new and replacement equipment as required.
- Integration of roadside electronics, specialized testing, calibrations, and set-up of various parameters through software menu.
- Provide routine maintenance and emergency service work to installed equipment as outlined in the service contracts.
- Post-installation drawing and specification reviews for site compliance verifications and corrections may be required.
- Adhere to Corporate safety and quality policies.
- Maintain company vehicles to ensure excellent working conditions, cleanliness and adhere to regular maintenance schedule.
- Supervision of in-road and roadside civil construction activities.
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure installations, repairs and service are performed in accordance with Quarter hill standards.
Education & Experience
- Degree, Diploma or Certificate in electronics technology and/or equivalent work experience.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to operate basic hand tools such as grinders, drills, meters crimping pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, and wrench.
- Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel throughout the region.
- Have a valid Drivers’ License with a clean driving record, this is a condition of employment.
- Required to pass a DOT Medical exam bi-annually.
Computer Skills
- General knowledge of software and hardware applications with a focus on Linux/Unix & Microsoft Windows-based environment.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc.).
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze hardware and system operation problems using tools of the trade.

Pay: $27 - $32 per hour
