Direct Support Professional: Training Specialist; Job Coach

Overview

Employment Training Specialist is part-time (29 hours per week). This position involves meaningful work advocating for and training people with disabilities. You will train and coach clients to meet their employer's expectations and support their personal growth, achievement, and independence.

• Provide direct job coaching, support, and advocacy to clients who have secured community employment to maintain and develop vocational skills to the levels needed to achieve vocational goals.
• Collaborate with clients to determine work schedules (Monday–Sunday; hours determined based on client needs) with hours not to exceed 29 per week; some work beyond regular workday and 24-hour notice responses.
• Support clients in meeting employer expectations and promoting independence in the workplace.

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred two years of experience in related fields such as Vocational Rehabilitation, special education, teaching, or counseling.
• Ability to secure a valid driver's license and pass a Health and Welfare background check.
