Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting - Digital

This individual contributor is responsible for preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation schedules, performing analysis on current accruals and determining appropriate methodology to calculate accruals, analyzing material fluctuations in corporate reporting and providing explanations for upper management, assisting with the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate reporting, creating and distributing meeting notes and callouts to leadership for account reconciliations and financial statement review.

Responsible for compliance with GAAP and adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls.

• Prepare select journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation schedules
• Provide projections for multiple financial accounts
• Perform analysis on current accruals and determine appropriate methodology to calculate accruals
• Review financial statements and perform analysis on variances to budget and last year
• Analyze material fluctuations in corporate reporting and provide explanations of key drivers
• Assist with the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate reporting
• Partner with other divisions to ensure proper reporting and analysis of expenses and appropriate intercompany accounting
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and adherence to internal controls
• Partner with other departments on Financial Reporting inquiries
• Assist in ad-hoc projects as requested
• Identify areas of improvement and execute plans for implementation of process improvements
• Provide support with internal and external audit activities

• 3-5 years of experience in preparing, analyzing, and reviewing accounting information and financial statements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA or CPA Candidate a plus
• Advanced Excel proficiency required, as well as functional knowledge of other Microsoft products.
• Working knowledge of SAP a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently
• Perform job functions/assignments with minimal supervision
• Maintain confidentiality
• Execute sound judgment in general accounting matters
• Ability to handle ad hoc reporting requests
• Ability to think analytically and creatively
