Job DescriptionThe Division of Liquor Control supports Ohio’s economy by providing funding for job creation and business development through the proceeds from Ohio’s liquor industry. The division ensures Ohioans have access to the products they want by overseeing the manufacture, distribution, and sale of all alcoholic beverages, selling spirituous liquor through contract liquor agencies and registering products for sale. The division promotes the responsible consumption of alcohol by educating the public and ensuring that businesses are informed and trained on their responsibilities not to sell to underage or intoxicated individuals.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Perform confidential legal secretarial work for office attorneys.
- Produce typed copy of legal documents and correspondence (e.g., letters, continuances, certificates of service) using Microsoft Office and other software applications for clients, staff, or the general public.
- Work under general supervision and require considerable knowledge of clerical functions and office procedures; compile and generate reports involving complex technical, legal, statistical, and confidential material from written or oral instructions.
- Enter confidential data and identifying information and retrieve data/reports within computer systems.
- Respond both verbally and in writing to questions and concerns.
- 18 months experience or 18 months training in secretarial/administrative professional field.
- Or completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from an accredited career school or community college.
- Or 6 months experience as Administrative Professional 1 (job number 16871).
- Or equivalent of the minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
