Helps foster a positive work environment that inspires, motivates, challenges, supports and provides ongoing recognition for exceptional performance. Customer Service Advisor's (CSA) are charged with providing excellent customer service while identifying sales opportunities and performing account transactions. The CSA is responsible for consumer and business relationship building efforts and focuses on promotion of Bank's products and services. From an operational standpoint, the CSA complies with all established Bank policies, procedures, and security measures.
The position is 100% in office with scheduled work hours at a designated Wes Banco location in Reynoldsburg, OH
. The CSA also initiates outbound telephone calls focused on customer onboarding, prospecting new retail customers, and consistently promoting bank products and services. Community service opportunities in the local market may be undertaken.
- Personally models the standards of the Bank's Mission, Vision, and Pledge.
- Initiates conversations to assess the financial needs of customers and makes recommendations and referrals to business partners for promotion of bank products.
- Accurately processes all financial service transactions.
- Opens new deposit accounts and operates a cash drawer following proper balancing and cash handling procedures, while uncovering additional product opportunities and making qualified referrals.
- Operates within security and audit procedures.
- Achieves production and referral goals through relationship development activities including customer consultations, outbound calls, business partner referrals, and onboarding calls.
- Communicates and partners effectively with branch staff to promote a team environment and ensure goals are met.
- Sets priorities by monitoring performance against banking center goals and adjusting activities as needed.
- Executes outbound calling activities using customer lists, promotes bank products, and makes appropriate business line referrals as defined by location goals.
- Educates the bank team on opportunities to advance customer financial wellness.
- Supports daily operations, including customer service, opening and closing procedures, vault duties, cash level control, inventory supply, and audit and compliance requirements.
- Participates actively in regular staff meetings.
- Provides service to customers and prospects on various banking matters, explains products, and resolves problems professionally.
- Builds successful relationships with internal business partners and seeks constructive peer feedback.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and decision‑making by following established guidelines and using appropriate resources for assistance.
- Maintains prescribed security controls to protect the center from fraud and exposure.
- Keeps all sensitive information and customer business confidential in a secured location.
- Contributes to a team environment by answering telephone calls and performing additional duties assigned to support the center's success.
- Proficiency in bank policies, procedures, and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; completion of all assigned compliance training timely.
- Ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calling, internal business development, and building a loyal customer base.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive customer relationships and clearly express concepts, ideas, and product information verbally and in writing.
- Strong product knowledge and successful promotion of products as expected for the position.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and remain flexible.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook 365 and general computer skills; aptitude for learning various banking software programs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED required.
