Primary Job Function:The Reynoldsburg City Schools Student Success Specialist (Title IV) works closely with the Director of Whole Child Supports to provide comprehensive student support services aligned with Title IV, Part A guidelines. The Student Support Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing programs that promote a well-rounded education, support safe and healthy students, and increase student engagement and success. This position will focus on college and career readiness, student wellness, and access to enrichment opportunities for all students.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in education, school counseling, social work, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of successful experience working with school-aged students
- Demonstrated knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and student intervention frameworks
- Experience supporting college and career readiness, student wellness, or enrichment programming
- Valid Ohio license appropriate to position (teaching, pupil services, or related credential as applicable)
- Five or more years of experience in education, counseling, or student support services
- Master's degree in school counseling, social work, educational leadership, or related field
- Experience with community partnership development and coordination of wraparound services
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, mental health supports, and student engagement strategies
- Experience implementing programs aligned to college and career readiness or service learning

Safe and Healthy Students
- Support the implementation of school-based programs that promote student mental health, wellness, and positive behavior
- Assist in coordinating prevention and intervention programs related to bullying, substance abuse, and violence prevention
- Promote trauma-informed practices and positive school climate initiatives
- Collaborate with school staff and community providers to connect students and families to appropriate services and supports
- Support programs that build relationship skills, conflict resolution, and student resilience
- Assist building teams with Tier 1 and 2 level crises, as needed
Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Lead the district PBIS committee and support the district MTSS committee
- Support members of the building PBIS and MTSS teams
- Support the implementation of universal, targeted, and intensive interventions for student academic and social-emotional needs
- Monitor and document student progress related to interventions and support services
- Collaborate with staff to identify students in need of additional supports and recommend appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate records for district, state, and federal reporting requirements
Student Support & Enrichment Programming
- Develop, implement, and coordinate programs that support a well-rounded education, including college and career awareness, financial literacy, and service learning
- Collaborate with staff to integrate academic, social-emotional, and enrichment opportunities into the school day
- Assist in organizing partnerships with community organizations, higher education institutions, and local businesses to expand student opportunities
- Support initiatives that promote volunteerism, community involvement, and student leadership
