Special Education Teacher - Reynoldsburg, OH

Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by working as an Intervention Specialist in a supportive school environment just east of Columbus. This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate Special Education Teachers ready to engage with students who have a range of learning and behavioral needs. Multiple openings are available, including positions in behavioral support classrooms, multiple disabilities settings, and cross-categorical roles.

• One behavioral-focused classroom (BFLIC) serving up to 12 students, with paraprofessional support in each class
• Three multiple disabilities (MDLIC) classrooms with a maximum of eight students and two paraprofessionals per class
• One cross-categorical special education classroom

Assignments begin as soon as possible and continue through May 28th, offering a consistent, full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or the ability to obtain licensure in Ohio)
• Prior experience with behavioral, multiple disabilities, or cross-categorical elementary special education settings preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive practices

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Foster positive, inclusive learning environments
• Collaborate with other special education professionals, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Engage students in academic and social-emotional growth
• Maintain documentation and communication with families
