the company is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. the company Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets.

The Mechanical Commissioning and Startup (CSU) Engineer will assist in the technical direction and oversight during the start-up, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment in a semiconductor manufacturing facility. In this role you will assist in the planning and execution of commissioning activities from construction completion through system handover to operations, ensuring work is performed safely and on schedule.

The role ensures systems are installed correctly, meet design requirements, operate safely, and are ready for operations. This position works closely with engineering, construction, vendors, subcontractors, and operations teams to verify mechanical systems meet all requirements.

• Develop Mechanical Commissioning Plans and Procedures. Review design documents, specifications, P&IDs, equipment submittals, and vendor documentation. Support development of commissioning schedules and turnover strategies. Participate in Constructability, HAZOP, and Operational Readiness Reviews.

• Confirm equipment alignment, rotation checks, lubrication, and preservation requirements. Verify equipment labels, identification, and assets. Review pressure testing, leak testing, flushing, and cleaning records. Verify valve lineups and equipment accessibility. Ensure safety interlocks and mechanical protections are functional.
