Finance Manager, Lease Administration

The Finance Manager plays a key role on the Lease Administration team by managing a team that delivers expense savings directly to the company's bottom line through the invoice audit process and account reconciliations as it relates to retail leases. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills and analytical thinking capabilities, is highly organized, and has excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The candidate is also enthusiastic, self-motivated, and demonstrates the ability to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and develop a team of 4 analysts primarily focused on managing lease payments for the fleet of Victoria's Secret stores
• Deliver expense savings through the invoice audit process and account reconciliations
• Establish/maintain relationships with landlords to help in reconciling account balances and managing account disputes
• Resolve disputed audit claims with landlords or escalate to our Legal or business partners as appropriate
• Manage weekly and monthly rent generation, control reports and payment files
• Manage budget/forecast of store utilities
• Partner with Financial Reporting team to ensure proper accounting treatment of accruals/reserves; review and provide support for Blackbook balances
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to help influence decisions as it relates to our real estate portfolio
• Identify and implement process improvements and AI opportunities to drive efficiencies
• Share best practices across the department

Must possess the ability to:

• Lead, support, and develop a team of analysts
• Develop a clear understanding of real estate processes and business issues
• Demonstrate absolute adherence to internal controls and delegations of authority
• Establish/maintain productive relationships with landlords and cross functional partners such as Retail Real Estate, Legal, and Financial Reporting
• Read and interpret lease language and be able to apply to landlord invoices
• Understand general accounting principles for accruals, reserves, etc. and partner with the Financial Reporting team to ensure accurate financials
• Organize and prioritize workload for the team; ability to multitask
• Perform business, legal, and financial analyses of invoice audit disputes
• Clearly communicate points of view in a concise manner, both written and verbal
• Organize and analyze large data sets using Microsoft Excel
• Work independently and on group projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred
• Lease Administration experience a plus
• 6
  -7 years of relevant experience; at least 2 years of managerial experience
• Experienced in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with SAP or Business Objects a plus
