The Branch Manager is responsible for leading and developing the branch team while ensuring strong performance across customer service, sales, operations, inventory management, safety, and overall branch effectiveness.
This role is primarily focused on people leadership, building an engaged and accountable team, establishing clear expectations, coaching associates, and creating an environment where employees can perform at a high level. The Branch Manager also plays an active role in supporting sales growth, developing customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities within the local market.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for branch associates, establishing clear expectations, priorities, and accountability.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop associates to strengthen individual and team performance.
- Create a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented branch culture focused on teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- Lead branch personnel activities, including interviewing, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management in partnership with Human Resources.
- Regularly assess associate performance and provide timely feedback, recognition, coaching, and development.
- Conduct branch meetings to communicate company initiatives, business priorities, performance expectations, and team goals.
- Identify opportunities to develop associates and strengthen the branch’s overall capabilities.
- Ensure associates have the resources, training, and support necessary to succeed in their roles.
- Support profitable sales growth and market share expansion within the local market.
- Monitor individual and team sales performance, providing coaching and guidance to support achievement of sales goals.
- Regularly engage with existing and prospective customers, contractors, industrial accounts, and key decision-makers to strengthen relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring exceptional levels of customer service.
- Partner with branch associates and other sales resources to identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new customers.
- Represent Loeb Electric within the local community, industry organizations, and customer events.
- Provide leadership and oversight for daily branch operations, including customer service, warehouse operations, inventory management, safety, and asset protection.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, product availability, and efficient warehouse operations.
- Maintain responsibility for the overall condition, appearance, operation, and security of the branch.
- Ensure the proper care and maintenance of the facility interior and exterior, grounds, equipment, inventory, fleet vehicles, and other company assets.
- Promote safe operating practices and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve branch productivity, efficiency, and customer service.
- Develop and execute annual branch business plans focused on team performance, customer retention, sales growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
- Monitor branch financial performance, expenses, productivity, and key performance indicators.
- Communicate branch goals and performance expectations to the team and ensure associates understand how their individual performance contributes to overall branch success.
