Certified Nurse Midwife - OBGYN Reynoldsburg

This position is a full scope midwifery position that involves seeing patients in the Reynoldsburg practice office(s) and a laborist role at Pickerington Methodist Hospital.

• 100% Uncomplicated prenatal care within the scope of the Nurse Midwife
• Intrapartum Care on patients who meet the criteria for normal delivery no forceps or vacuum
• Pitocin augmentation or induction under the direction and approval of the supervising physician or alternate
• Use of internal and external monitors
• AROM Active Rupture of Membranes without consultation only if patient is in active labor, 3 cm, 1 station, and at least 80% effaced
• Local analgesia/anesthesia including pudendal
• Must consult physician when deviations from normal rise
• Normal postpartum care
• Normal newborn care in the delivery room and/or recovery room only
• Repair of superficial vaginal and perineal lacerations – Complies with all policies and procedures of OB/GYN department and all rules and policies of hospital in Labor and Delivery Nurse Midwifes
• Documents according to L&D policy in progress notes and L&D record

• Master's Degree:
  Nursing (Required)
• C-EFM Certified – Electronic Fetal Monitoring – National Certification Corporation (NCC)
• CNM Certified Nurse Midwife – American Midwifery Certification Board©
• RN Registered Nurse – Ohio Board of Nursing
