Summary
Coordinate the receiving and shipping of donated items from the Goodwill warehouse.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise Warehouse Associates and Dock Workers.
- Plan work schedules to meet the logistical needs of Retail.
- Participate in moving and organizing warehouse items.
- Help load and unload donated merchandise from trucks at warehouse.
- Operate forklift to move pallets and/or heavy inventory.
- Prepare salvage materials for pick-up.
- Provide guidance and training to staff and keep manager informed of employees' performance.
- Communicate transportation routes and dispatch truck drivers.
- Perform warehouse opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Operate bale machine to prepare salvage items for pick up.
- Operate trash compactor.
- Responsible for all warehouse and transportation operations in the absence of next level manager
- Perform, other related duties as assigned.
- One year of experience in warehousing or related field.
- One year of direct supervisory experience.
- Ability to operate a forklift and bale machine.
- Clear verbal communication skills and ability to give and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.
- Ability to use good judgment and think quickly and rationally.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Exposed to loud noise levels.
- Subjected to varying, inclement outdoor weather conditions.
- Will work near moving mechanical parts and potentially dangerous physical situations.
- Must be able to sit, stand, grasp, push, reach, and bend.
- Must be able to perform repetitive writs, hand and/or finger movement.
- Mut have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds p a regular basis.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
