General Labor Machine Operator

Overview

Forms, cuts, saws and prepares materials as required per drawing requirements and shop work orders.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to work on multiple priorities with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment necessary to complete the job duties.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently without daily supervision.
• Ability to work with all levels of employees.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years

Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane. Ability to lift 50
-75 lbs. regularly and 100 lbs. occasionally. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Noise level is usually moderate to high. Majority of the work is indoors.

Temperatures can range from hot to cold.

To be successful in this job with Air Pro, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Sets up and operate various machines - brake press, pinch roller, vertical and horizontal band saws and iron worker
• Cut and form parts to print
• Organize the materials for jobs
• Utilize a forklift and/or crane according to standard operating procedure, safety regulations and practices
• Perform routine maintenance on primary equipment
• Load, unload and receive product deliveries
• Use ERP to properly log work
• Occasionally may drive loads to North
• Ensure quality standards and processes are used
• Ensure safety guidelines are being met
• Use proper lifting techniques
• Use of approved safety glasses, hearing protection and safety toe shoes.
• Perform all job duties in a manner safe to self and others
• Perform other duties as assigned
