Registered Nurse - PACU

PACU RN assignment for a 13-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week and an ASAP start. This role follows an 8-hour day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The RN will work in a post-anesthesia care setting, supporting patient recovery following surgical procedures. Weekend and holiday responsibilities are tied to on-call coverage, with on-call rotation approximately every 6th–7th weekend.

During low census, the nurse may be placed on call, with callback pay applying and a 2-hour minimum if called back. Orientation-week hours are not guaranteed.

The PACU RN will monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, assessing vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and overall recovery progression. Responsibilities include administering medications, managing post-operative complications, and ensuring safe transitions to the next level of care. The nurse will document all care accurately in Epic and collaborate with surgical teams and anesthesia providers. The clinician must participate in on-call rotations, respond to callback situations as needed, and follow low census protocols.

Adherence to facility policies, infection control guidelines, and scheduling requirements is essential throughout the assignment.
