* ** Job Purpose*
* The Dental Laboratory Manager is responsible for overseeing technical laboratory operations while providing hands-on leadership, training, and development for dental laboratory technicians. This role combines advanced technical expertise with supervisory and management responsibilities.
The Manager will lead the on-site training and development of laboratory technicians, support the implementation of new products and technologies, and promote continuous improvement throughout the dental laboratory.
This position works closely with the Regional Manager of Laboratory Excellence, ACI management, and the broader ACI Laboratory Network. The Manager is expected to exercise sound professional judgment and collaborate with the Chief Clinical Officer and laboratory team when evaluating patient-specific cases and treatment needs.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Manage and support daily dental laboratory operations while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, safety, and service.
+ Provide on-site technical training, coaching, and development for all dental laboratory technicians.
+ Lead cross-training initiatives to expand the technical capabilities and versatility of the laboratory team.
+ Support the implementation of new dental laboratory products, technologies, techniques, and processes.
+ Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in denture fabrication and implant-supported restorative techniques.
+ Collaborate regularly with the Regional Manager of Laboratory Excellence and relevant ACI leadership.
+ Actively participate in and contribute to the ACI Laboratory Network.
+ Exercise sound technical judgment and collaborate with the Chief Clinical Officer and team on patient-specific cases.
+ Ensure compliance with OSHA protocols and applicable laboratory safety standards.
+ Foster a positive, accountable, collaborative, and high-performance laboratory culture.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
** Required Dental Laboratory Technical Expertise*
* The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience fabricating dentures from start to finish and be highly proficient in:
+ Complete denture fabrication
+ Full-arch hybrid restorations
+ Implant-supported and implant-based restorative techniques
+ Over dentures
+ Setting denture teeth
+ Denture wax-ups
+ Festooning and carving of teeth
+ Rough and fine finishing
+ Denture repairs
+ Pouring and trimming denture models
+ Dental anatomy, dental science, and esthetics
+ Patient-specific restorative treatment considerations
** Implant experience is preferred but not required.*
* ** Same-day denture experience is a plus but not required.*
* ** Required Qualifications*
* + High school diploma required.
+ Minimum of
** 10 years of hands-on technical experience in dental laboratory operations** .
+ Minimum of
** 2 years of experience in a technical supervisory or dental laboratory management role** .
+ Significant experience fabricating complete dentures from start to finish.
+ Demonstrated leadership and team-development experience.
+ Strong understanding of dental laboratory processes, procedures, and quality standards.
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*
* + Strong interpersonal, leadership, management, and relationship-building skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proven ability to lead, coach, train, and develop dental laboratory technicians.
+ Strong work ethic and positive, professional attitude.
+ Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and technology.
+ Familiarity with dental office procedures and dental terminology preferred.
+ Understanding of OSHA protocols and laboratory safety requirements.

+ Ability to collaborate effectively with laboratory leadership, dentists, clinicians, and practice teams.
