Job Description

Captain Isaac Paine Elementary School is seeking highly qualified substitute teachers.

• Perform the functions of the position in accordance with the RI Professional Teaching Standards.
• Perform the functions of the position in accordance with the RI Professional Code of Conduct.
• Perform the functions of the position in accordance with all laws, regulations, and school district policies and practices.
• Any other duties as may be assigned.

• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of curricular theory and contemporary issues in education (preferred)
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and administration to ensure effective curriculum, instruction and assessment
  • Professional knowledge and skills as outlined in the RI Professional Teaching Standards approved by the RI Board of Regents in 2007
  • Eligible to receive a Substitute Teacher Permit from the District based on the requirements of the RI Department of Education
  • And / or any combination of education, experience, and knowledge and skills deemed substantially equivalent by the school committee or designee to those listed above
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• No experience required.
