Wakefield, Rhode Island, South Kingstown Public Schools.

Starting Date: Jul 13, 2026

The district is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to provide instruction and support for students in the Grades 6‑12 Life Skills Extended School Year Program.

• Must hold appropriate RIDE certification in Special Education.
• Orientation on July 13, 2026.
• Program Dates:
  July 14, 2026 – August 6, 2026.
• Hours:
  
  8:30 am – Noon.
• Days:
  Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
• Wrap‑Up Day:
  August 7, 2026.

Compensation: $55 per hour.

• National BCI required.
• At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

• W-42 Federal BCI (completed through your local police department or State Attorney General’s Office).
• I‑9 (completed in person). Provide appropriate documentation.
• Copy of RIDE certificate or certificate number.
• Official documentation of post‑secondary schooling and teaching experience (if applicable).
