Job Description
We seek a dynamic and talented high‑school ELA teacher who is committed to our Catholic mission and aligns with our Catholic identity. The teacher will create a rich learning environment for 10th‑grade English, employ varied teaching approaches, and use multiple assessment tools to gauge student understanding and competencies.
Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver daily lessons following approved lesson plans.
- Deliver assignments, assess student work, and provide timely feedback.
- Design and implement authentic assessments that support diverse learning styles.
- Communicate promptly with parents about student progress.
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and staff on experiential, interdisciplinary, and community‑based learning opportunities.
- Adapt instructional strategies based on peer and supervisory feedback.
- Participate in school‑sponsored curricular and extracurricular activities, including onsite and off‑site events.
- Maintain effective communication with all school constituencies through in‑person and electronic means.
- Support division‑wide and school‑wide initiatives through committee participation.
- Supervise or participate in non‑academic activities, such as lunch and study halls, as appropriate.

Qualifications and Requirements- Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Literature or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of secondary‑level teaching experience, though fewer years may be considered based on background.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization, and a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work collegially within a team.
- Experience or willingness to lead one or more co‑curricular activities.
- Pass a criminal background check conducted through the Diocesan Office for Compliance.
- Citizenship, lawful residency, or work visa status as required.
