Key Duties and Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Dean and College leadership, provide vision and leadership in planning, goal setting, implementing, and evaluating the College's research agenda and growth plan.
Regularly assess and report on research productivity in the College to help guide strategic planning.
Assist and advise the Dean, College of Health Sciences, on all matters relating to the College's research and scholarship.
Collaborate with the Chief Business Officer to support the smooth functioning of the pre/post award process.
Develop faculty mentoring programs to advance their success in developing and sustaining a fundable research program across the broad range of disciplines in the College of Health Sciences.
Mentor PhD students in the development of grant proposals.
Serve as a resource for the College in interpreting relevant rules and regulations and liaise with other University entities responsible for research.
Facilitate and participate in the development of new and exciting research initiatives/collaborations of relevance to diverse stakeholders from the University, government, and others outside of the University.
Coordinate with other Associate Deans for Research and the office of the VP for Research and Economic Development in supporting University-wide research initiatives.
Maintain a robust program of externally funded research at the R01 or equivalent level.
Engage in teaching as appropriate.
Other Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as required and assigned.
Licenses, Tools, and EquipmentPersonal computers and printers, electronic mail, word processing, database management, spreadsheet software, research statistical and data analysis software as needed.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $175,000 – $195,000.
