Job DescriptionThe Compass School is seeking a .2 FTE special education posting with a varied schedule. Only RI certified Special Educators need apply.
The Compass School is a public charter school comprised of 220 students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

- Provide specially designed instruction for children with IEP’s
- Complete educational evaluations/summaries as needed for new referrals and 3-year re‑evaluations
- Write and implement data based IEP’s
- Participate in a variety of meetings including: referral, eligibility, MTSS, grade level, department, committee and IEP
- Collect data on student progress, report progress each trimester and use that data to drive instruction
- Ensure compliance with all regulations under IDEA
- Communicate regularly and collaboratively with colleagues and families
- Other tasks as assigned by Director of Student Services and/or School Director
