This position is full-time, 35 hours a week, Fall 2026, 24 weeks.

The University of Rhode Island enrolls approximately 17,000 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs and is the State's flagship public research university, as well as the land grant and sea grant university, for the state of Rhode Island. Position Summary

This temporary position provides seasonal support for undergraduate recruitment and application review during peak admission cycles. Serve as a representative of the University of Rhode Island by recruiting prospective students through on- and off-campus recruitment activities and by reviewing undergraduate applications for admission. Evaluate applicants in accordance with university admission policies and make admission decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Represent the University at high school visits, college fairs, and recruitment events throughout assigned territories.
  • Conduct presentations and communicate admission requirements, academic programs, and student opportunities to prospective students, families, and school counselors.
  • Review undergraduate applications and supporting credentials to determine admission decisions in accordance with university policies and established review guidelines.
  • Travel and work evenings and weekends as required to support recruitment activities.
  • OTHER

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Perform additional duties as required.
  • LICENSES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Personal computers, printers; word processing, database management and spreadsheet software.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: The incumbent is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
