The Block Island School seeks a 0.8 music teacher (K-12) beginning the  school year. Candidates must hold or be eligible for Rhode Island certification.

Block Island is a small island located approximately 12 miles off the southern coast of Rhode Island. Our school district is comprised of one school. The Block Island School houses grades K-12 and has a student population of approximately 123 students.

Block Island is accessible by boat or plane. Full-time employees must live on the island during the school year/week because of the limited ferry schedule.

• Block Island is 12 miles off the southern coast of Rhode Island and can be accessed by ferry or plane. Successful candidate must live on Block Island during the school year because the ferry schedule does not coordinate with the school day. In addition, travel between the island and mainland is subject to cancellation due to weather.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
