Role Description

This is a full-time field-based position for an Environmental Health and Safety Officer based in Greenville, RI. The Environmental Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with State and Federal Regulations. The role also involves risk assessments, incident investigations, reporting, and developing strategies to improve workplace safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Conduct routine and unannounced site inspections
  • Verify compliance with asbestos, OSHA, and environmental regulations
  • Monitor production, scheduling, and labor efficiency
  • Ensure containment integrity, work practices, and final quality meet company standards
  • Support crew performance, training, and accountability
  • Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain clear documentation and communication with ownership
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience in industrial hygiene
  • Experience in Construction, Demolition, Restoration, Skilled Building Trades
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety protocols, compliance requirements, and relevant regulations.
  • Experience in conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to develop strategy for improving safety and compliance practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field (preferred).
  • Relevant safety certifications, such as OSHA, CSP, or CIH certifications, are an advantage.
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate documentation and prepare compliance reports.
