** Undergrad Co-op - Operations - Electrical - West Greenwich, RI (Summer 2026)**## What You Will DoLet’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Facilities and Engineering Department at Amgen Rhode Island is seeking an Undergrad Co-op for a 10 week assignment from June – August 2026.Reporting to a Manager of Maintenance, this position is responsible for performing tasks related to Electrical system operation and maintenance activities throughout the ARI site.##

Specific duties include:
* Gain experience operating a large-scale production facility by shadowing technicians in various functions within the Facilities & Engineering department to operate, maintain, and sustain all of major electrical equipment on site.
* Taking part in improvement projects related to the electrical systems at ARI through supporting day-to-day operations to ensure a safe, compliant, effective, efficient, and cost appropriate utility operations at ARI.
* Assist Amgen Electrical group in troubleshooting and repair of equipment and systems
* Ensure activities are accomplished in a safe manner
* Assist Amgen Electrical group to ensure work order documentation is completed accurately and completely
* Identify opportunities to learn new skills and actively participate in development that will improve overall knowledge

* Basic Qualifications:

** Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
* 18 years or older
* Currently enrolled in a full-time Associate's degree program or a Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
* Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship or co-op commencing
* Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program or Associate's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
* Must not be employed at the time the internship or co-op starts
* Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship or co-op##
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Completed or ongoing coursework in the following areas:  + Mechanical engineering technology  + Electrical engineering technology  + Electronics/instrumentation/controls systems and automation  + Welding technology  + HVAC/refrigeration  + Plumbing/pipe fitting
* Knowledge and understanding of working in a highly regulated function
* Equipment troubleshooting skills
* Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems
