Coordinator; Talent Development

University of Rhode Island is hiring a Coordinator (Talent Development). The role involves providing academic advising to Talent Development students through individual and group sessions, supporting student retention and timely graduation by developing collaborative relationships and coordinating support services.

• Provide academic advisement for Talent Development students using appreciative advising.
• Conduct weekly individual and group meetings and Progress Check Point evaluations with students.
• Assist in developing and coordinating support services for transition, first year experience, and retention.
• Maintain confidential records and a network of resources to support student success.
• Represent Talent Development on university committees and assist with scholastic standing reviews.
• Support parent and family engagement and manage social media accounts relevant to student leadership development.
• Use personal and university-issued computers, database management, and spreadsheet software.
• Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, at least three years of relevant experience, strong verbal and written communication skills, program planning experience, computer skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations.
• Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, bilingual proficiency, experience with academic advising and specific software such as Google Suite, Brightspace, Peoplesoft, Starfish, and Microsoft 365.
• Anticipated hiring salary range: $47,768 - $54,000; full-time, permanent position in the Talent Development department at the University of Rhode Island.
