Associate Manufacturing – Nights (D Shift)
Amgen is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to improving healthcare. This role supports night‑shift manufacturing operations in a biomanufacturing environment.
Eligible employees include Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and Caregivers.
What you will do- Perform and monitor critical processes in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Execute routine validation protocols and draft or revise documents such as manufacturing procedures, SOPs, and technical reports.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting and review of documentation.
- Participate in cross‑functional teams representing the functional area.
- Own deviation/CAPA records.
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements related to routine functions.
The on‑boarding period lasts 2–6 weeks on an administrative schedule (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm). After onboarding you will join a 12‑hour shift (7 pm to 7 am) on a rotating D‑Shift schedule, with a 15% shift differential and premium pay for Sundays.
Basic Qualifications- High school/GED + 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience; or Associate’s degree + 6 months of manufacturing or operations experience; or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
- Knowledge of large‑scale biotechnology operations such as purification, cell culture, aseptic processing, and single‑use systems.
- Knowledge of CFR and regulatory requirements.
- Mechanical ability and basic statistical/mathematical skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply GMP knowledge.
- Understanding of analytical methods for manufacturing.
- Technical writing and project management skills.
- Knowledge of basic chemistry, biology, and physical principles.
- Basic troubleshooting skills on production equipment.
- Experience with Delta V and lab equipment/testing.
- Annual salary range: $70,985.20 – $96,038.80 USD.
