Quality Auditor - 2nd/3rd Shift - Slatersville, RI

• Shift: 2nd and 3rd shift available
• Pay: $21 hour + $1 shift premium for 2nd shift & $2 shift premium for 3rd shift

This position is responsible for ensuring products meet Silgan Slatersville customer specifications. The role involves performing inspections, audits, and quality checks in accordance with established quality plans, manufacturing standards, and safety procedures.

• Perform first-piece inspections using a variety of inspection techniques and measuring instruments
• Conduct in-process audits to visual and documented standards
• Determine product conformance and identify non-conforming products
• Report unusually high levels of defective parts and review prior production as needed
• Verify compliance with molding line clearance requirements and order packet information
• Assist operators with training and development related to quality standards and decision-making
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear
• Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping and trash removal
• Perform other duties as assigned based on skill level and operational needs

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2–5 years of inspection and/or production experience
• Solid understanding of inspection and test equipment
• Strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
