The Silk Screening Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining screen-printing equipment to produce high-quality printed products that meet customer specifications. This position ensures proper ink application, color accuracy, and adherence to production and quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Shift : 5 a.m.

- 1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday with occasional overtime as business needs arise

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate silk screening / screen-printing equipment according to job specifications
  • Prepare screens, inks, and substrates for production runs
  • Align screens and adjust machine settings for proper registration and print quality
  • Inspect printed products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements
  • Mix inks to achieve correct color, viscosity, and consistency
  • Clean and reclaim screens, squeegees, and flood bars after production
  • Troubleshoot print defects and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality output
  • Monitor production to ensure efficiency and minimize waste
  • Follow work orders, production schedules, and standard operating procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Responsible for custom paint color mixing, screen ordering/creating and part jig development and/or creation
  • Assist in other areas of production as needed

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous 3+ years silk screening/screen printing experience preferred (manual or automatic presses)
  • Ability to read English and interpret work orders, specifications, and color charts
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Good hand-eye coordination and color recognition
