Associate Fuel Rotational Program – West Greenwich, RI

What you will do

We’re looking for potential future leaders who are self‑motivated, with strong analytical and decision‑making skills, and leadership aspirations, seeking to join a world‑class biotechnology company. The objective of the Operations Emerging Talent Rotational Program is to develop leadership skills and attributes with a blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, and soft skills so that you are ready to make a positive impact and use your talents to accomplish more than you thought possible.

In this vital role you will:

  • Complete complex rotation assignments and tasks
  • Dive into new topics, work areas, and functions, ramp up your knowledge quickly to contribute meaningfully, and meet expectations and milestones
  • Demonstrate agility and flexibility while transitioning through three rotations
  • Understand the wider business context and how your own work contributes to Amgen’s strategies and goals
  • Use data and insights to drive business performance
Operations Emerging Talent Rotational Program Facts

We have open positions based in Amgen Rhode Island; the site has been dedicated to manufacturing bulk drug substance since 1986. Equipped with a traditional and next‑generation biomanufacturing plant, ARI has the agility and flexibility to manufacture multiple biologics at a time.

The cohort kicks off in July 2027 and requires full‑time employment starting that month. The 26‑month rotational program consists of one 10‑month and two 8‑month rotations in operations, rotating through manufacturing, quality, and a wildcard function. After successful completion, you will be well‑prepared to take on future roles and leadership challenges in the operations organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or other relevant disciplines from an accredited college or university by July 2027

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership skills demonstrated through extracurricular or work experience activities
  • Previous Amgen or relevant industry experience in biopharma, manufacturing, or engineering environments
  • Minimum GPA of 3.20 preferred
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across teams and levels of management
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a dedicated approach to success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices
  • Global mentality: willingness to relocate to other operations sites for future career opportunities
  • Willingness to work shifts including weekends
