A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Production & Inventory Control Manager to lead production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and material flow activities. This position is responsible for ensuring production schedules align with customer requirements, available capacity, material availability, and operational priorities.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with daily involvement in scheduling, inventory accuracy, ERP/MRP systems, production reporting, and cross-functional problem-solving.

• Lead production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and materials management activities.
• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, available capacity, staffing, and material availability.
• Monitor performance against production plans and communicate schedule changes, risks, and priorities.
• Coordinate the movement of materials and products throughout the manufacturing operation.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels while supporting on-time customer delivery.
• Track inventory accuracy and implement improvements to reduce shortages, excess inventory, and discrepancies.
• Review lead times, work orders, forecasts, and production requirements.
• Identify production bottlenecks and collaborate with operations teams to develop solutions.
• Provide capacity, labor, and staffing analysis to support operational planning.
• Coordinate production priorities involving equipment, tooling, maintenance, and other operational resources.
• Support sales forecasting and inventory planning activities.
• Prepare scheduling, inventory, delivery, and operational performance reports.
• Participate in daily production, customer service, labor planning, and operational meetings.
• Partner with Sales, Production, Warehouse, Customer Service, Engineering, and other support departments.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop planning and inventory team members.
• Manage employee performance, departmental priorities, and staffing needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, warehouse procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, inventory, customer service, and operational efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in production planning, materials management, inventory control, scheduling, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience leading planning, scheduling, materials, or inventory personnel.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
• Experience with production forecasting, capacity planning, inventory management, and work-order scheduling.
• Ability to analyze production data, identify operational constraints, and make timely decisions.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
• Able to operate with a high level of independence, accountability, and initiative.

• Experience supporting high-volume or process-driven manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with molding, assembly, packaging, plastics, or similar manufacturing processes.
• Experience improving inventory accuracy, lead times, production flow, and on-time delivery performance.

This position is well suited for a hands-on, process-driven leader who enjoys working closely with plant teams. The Production & Inventory Control Manager will be expected to remain actively involved in scheduling, inventory analysis, system updates, production reporting, and daily operational decision-making.
