School Registered Nurse | Wakefield, Rhode

A part-time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide healthcare support within an elementary school setting in Wakefield, RI. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers approximately 16 hours per week with split shifts from 8:00‑9:30 AM and 2:45‑4:15 PM. The school compensates for 4 hours daily regardless of time spent with students.

• Provide nursing care and health services to elementary‑aged students.
• Monitor and manage student health needs during school hours.
• Collaborate with school staff and administration to ensure student well‑being.
• Maintain accurate health records and follow school protocols.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding student health concerns.

• Current and valid RN or LPN license.
• Previous experience working in a school health setting preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a school team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to comply with all school district onboarding requirements, including any necessary background checks.

• One school assigned, targeting elementary level students.
• Supervision may be provided by paraprofessionals or licensed staff as available.
• Interview scheduling requires 24‑hour notice; panel interviews conducted.
• Training and orientation will be provided based on district guidelines.
