Director of Nursing (DON) - Greenville, RI
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to serve as our Director of Nursing (DON) at Greenville Center Managed by Advinia Care. As a DON, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of our Nursing Department, ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilities.
- Oversee the management of the nursing staff: RN, LPN, CNA.
- Ensure adequate staffing of the nursing department.
- Participate in the hiring process of nursing staff.
- Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
- Coordinate continuing education/in‑service training for the nursing department.
- Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
- Review nurses' notes to ensure that they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care being provided.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information.
- Must have, as a minimum, 3 years of experience as a supervisor in long term care facility.
- Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
- Current CPR Certification is required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
