JOB GOAL:
To provide school health services to strengthen the educational process of children by assisting them to improve or adapt to their health status and to create a climate of health and well-being in the district schools.

• Provide day to day clinical support for student/staff injuries
• Manage IHCPs and Medical 504 plans for select students.
• Manage/supervise children with a variety of health issues/diagnoses, including but not limited to:
  Various allergies, including life-threatening peanut/tree nut allergies, and diabetes.
• Contribute to school safety and health and wellness initiatives, including proper hygiene and healthy behaviors.
• Maintain comprehensive records and facilitate ongoing communication with families as needed.
• Support school-wide screening assessments, such as vision and hearing.

RESPONSIBLE TO:
Building Principal for day-to-day direction and supervision.

• Must have current and valid RI Certification and licensed by the state of RI as a Registered nurse.
• Must demonstrate strong collaboration skills, working closely with school staff/administration and the district nursing team.
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and be an effective communicator with colleagues, staff, families, and children.

• At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
