Brightview Senior Living is hiring a compassionate Medication Technician to support residents in our vibrant senior living community. In this part-time role, you'll safely prepare, administer, and document medications in accordance with physician orders and state regulations. You'll monitor residents for changes in condition, communicate observations to nursing staff, and provide respectful assistance with daily living. Working closely with a supportive, resident-first team, you'll help create a warm, engaging environment while gaining valuable experience and training to grow your healthcare career.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications per physician orders and state regulations
- Verify medication orders, dosages, and resident identities to ensure safe administration
- Monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate medication records, MARs, and related documentation, including wasted and refused doses
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed while preserving dignity and independence
- Follow infection control, safety, and fall prevention protocols throughout the community
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to support individualized care plans
- Support new resident admissions, transfers, and discharges by organizing medications and records
- Participate in ongoing training, in-services, and quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to a warm, respectful, and engaging community environment aligned with Brightview's resident-first culture
