Food Service Worker / Cashier

We are hiring immediately for a part‑time position.

Location:

Burrillville Public Schools – 2300 Bronco Highway, Harrisville, RI 02830. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule:

Part‑time;
Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. More details will be provided during the interview.

Fixed Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour.

• Prepare food by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weigh and measure ingredients as directed.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from stations, the stove, and the refrigerator while following safety standards.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Store foods in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating, and food‑safety protocols.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to maintain quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following established service steps.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service‑oriented manner.
• Communicate relevant information to supervisors.
• Operate sales transactions, entering purchases into the cash register accurately.
• Make change, accept debit cards, and process other payment methods.
• Provide receipts to customers.
• Follow procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Maintain cash drawer compliance with overage/shortage policies.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while keeping the service area tidy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
