ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

You can work as much or as little as you like in the role of an On‑Demand Team Member (TM). Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. You will not be listed on the posted weekly schedule, but you will create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members through the myTime mobile scheduling app.

When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You are asked to pick up and work shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts. Failure to respond or to work at least one shift within 5 months may result in administrative termination.

If offered a position you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and a short‑term structured training schedule. After training, the myTime app is where you can pick up the shifts you desire to work.

SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT

Advocates of guest experience welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. You are empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at checklouses, guest services, gift registry, pick‑up, and drive‑up while ensuring exceptional quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
  • When guests need assistance, engage with them in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
  • Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
  • Inform guests of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign‑up as needed.
  • Be familiar with all fulfillment services and direct the guest to enroll, activate, and use them.
  • Show guests how to use Wallet and other features of the Target App.
  • Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with leaders as needed to solve for the guest while following Target’s policies and procedures.
  • Partner with leaders as needed to de‑escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following policies.
  • Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive‑Up, and Registry guests.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area (including gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers).
  • Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for guests.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct them when possible.
  • Support guest services such as order pick‑up (OPU), Drive‑Up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing these duties.
  • Support Cash Office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
  • All other duties based on business needs.
