Adding Cost Analyst to High-Performing Team! About the Opportunity

A globally recognized manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled Cost Analyst to join its expanding finance and operations team. This international company offers strong stability, modern processes, and a collaborative environment. The Cost Analyst will play a critical role in providing accurate cost insights, supporting operational improvements, and enhancing visibility across production and financial performance. The Cost Analyst will be responsible for analyzing product costs, evaluating variances, supporting standard costing, and partnering with plant operations to improve financial accuracy.

Because of the complexity and volume typical of an international operation, manufacturing experience is an absolute requirement. The ideal Cost Analyst will be detail‑oriented, highly analytical, and comfortable working with large data sets within a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, production variances, inventory movements, and margin drivers.
  • Support standard cost updates, cost rolls, and annual budgeting processes.
  • Partner directly with plant leadership to provide real‑time visibility into operational performance.
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports, KPI dashboards, and trend analyses as a proactive Cost Analyst.
  • Reconcile inventory accounts and review BOM accuracy to support operational efficiency.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis on cost fluctuations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities related to manufacturing and inventory.
  • Serve as a trusted Cost Analyst who collaborates across finance, supply chain, and operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Cost Analyst within a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, cost accounting, and manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and strong data analysis skills
  • Advanced Excel capabilities; experience with BI tools a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset

Location:

100% on-site available to those within a reasonable commute to company operations
Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 DOE
