Temp-to-Hire Opportunity | $24.00 - $26.00/Hour | Full-Time

Are you an experienced Purchasing Agent with a strong manufacturing background? We are seeking a procurement professional to support a growing manufacturing operation that produces specialized industrial products. This role is ideal for someone who understands the urgency and complexity of purchasing production materials, manufacturing supplies, and operational inventory to keep production running efficiently.

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors
• Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Purchase manufacturing, production, and operational materials to support daily business needs
• Research market trends and pricing to ensure cost-effective purchasing
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely reorders
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials critical to production schedules
• Maintain purchasing records, vendor files, and project documentation
• Manage inventory data within the Fishbowl system

• Assist with general office and administrative duties as needed
• Coordinate vendor communications and correspondence
• Support filing systems and document management processes
• Provide project and operational support when required

• 3-5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
• Strong manufacturing experience required
• Experience purchasing production materials, manufacturing components, raw materials, and operational supplies
• Quick Books and Fishbowl experience required
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
  Strong computer proficiency and analytical skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Professional demeanor with ability to build and maintain vendor relationships

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred, but not required
• Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments

We're looking for a hands-on Purchasing Agent who understands the fast-paced demands of a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience purchasing production and manufacturing-related materials, managing inventory, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring operational needs are met without disrupting production schedules. A degree is a plus, but relevant experience and manufacturing procurement expertise are most important.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
