Material Handler II

A Material Handler II operates various light industrial vehicles and/or RF devices to perform material handling assignments such as picking bulk orders, loading/unloading, and shipping/receiving of merchandise. Essential job functions include operating powered light industrial trucks to move product to and from designated areas in the warehouse, following daily procedures and protocols, reviewing orders and placing them within the appropriate areas as directed by the vehicle mounted computer manifest, conducting preventative maintenance checks before each use, performing general housekeeping duties, returning equipment to the correct charging station, and following all safety regulations required by OSHA and the company.

Requirements include education of high school or equivalent, 1-4 years experience operating light industrial equipment, certification on electric jack, sitdown forklift, and/or order picker and/or reach, experience with WMS a plus, ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, pull and push for extended periods, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Other skills/abilities include ability to satisfactorily complete equipment driving training program, ability to listen and communicate effectively, and ability to follow specific instructions.

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
