Material Handler II
A Material Handler II operates various Light Industrial vehicles and/or RF devices to perform material handling assignments such as picking bulk orders, loading/unloading, and shipping/receiving of merchandise. Essential Job Functions include operating powered light industrial trucks to move product to and from designated areas in the warehouse, following daily procedures and protocols, reviewing orders and placing them within the appropriate areas as directed by the vehicle mounted computer manifest, conducting preventative maintenance checks before each use, performing general housekeeping duties, returning equipment to the correct charging station, and following all safety regulations required by OSHA and Company.
Requirements include a high school education or equivalent, 1-4 years experience operating Light Industrial equipment, certification on Electric Jack, sitdown forklift, and/or Order Picker and/or Reach, and experience with WMS a plus. Working Conditions include standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing for extended periods in a distribution center, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Other Skills/Abilities include satisfactorily completing Equipment driving training program, effective listening and communication, and the ability to follow specific instructions and work independently.
