Medical Support Specialist RN

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma
• Administer informed consent and AIDS education; manage confidential self‑exclusion
• Conduct medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing
• Review laboratory test results and serological protein electrophoresis (SPE)
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow standard operating procedures for medical emergencies
• Support Center Physician and Medical Affairs with medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility
• Implement Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents and consult occupational health/ER as needed
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats

• High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate‑equivalent recognized nursing program with state requirements
• Current license or certification in the state where responsibilities are assigned:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Basic IV therapy qualification as required by state licensing
• Completion of FDA approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
• Current license or certification as Phlebotomy Technician (CPT1 or CPT2), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Bio Life Compensation and Benefits Summary

• Hourly wage range: $38.72 - $53.24 (actual wage depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location)
• Eligible for short‑term incentives
