Security Officer – Logistics Facility, Rialto, CA

$20.50 per hour

Flexibility with shifts is required

Weekend and holiday availability is required. Applicants must be flexible with their schedule and willing to work weekends, day, evenings, overnights and holidays, if needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields and must have an active CA State Guard Card license.

• Remain alert at all times, observe surroundings for suspicious activity or disorderly conduct, and ensure all employees, contractors and visitors display visible badges.

• Monitor access points, check badges or identification to ensure only authorized individuals enter the appropriate buildings, enforce screening for unauthorized individuals, prohibit tailgating, and require all employees, visitors and contractors to swipe their access cards at card readers.

• Control access to the facility through truck gates, ensuring all vehicles entering or exiting are properly logged, inspected, and authorized while maintaining compliance with security policies and safety standards.

• Respond swiftly in emergencies (medical incidents, accidents, fires, etc.), assist with evacuations, provide first aid, or call for help.

• Act as a visible deterrent against criminal activity to ensure safety of others.
• Conduct patrols on all platforms, parking lots, and other areas to prevent theft, vandalism, or other crimes.

• Maintain detailed records of incidents, disturbances, or any unusual occurrences.

• Interact with employees, visitors and contractors, providing assistance and information when needed.
• Maintain politeness, patience, and clear communication for positive interactions.
• Provide excellent customer service, including giving directions, opening doors, and greeting visitors and contractors properly.

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State BSIS California Guard Card.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Computer skills are a must.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Monitoring and surveillance experience.
• Essential Computer Competencies.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Comfortable with outdoor environment in diverse weather conditions.
• Security Guard Experience Preferred, Not Required!
• Must successfully pass pre-employment background check.
