Food Service Assistant

Under the direction of an assigned administrator or supervisor, assist in quantity preparation, serving and selling of foods at an assigned school site; maintain food service facilities and equipment in a neat, clean, safe and sanitary condition; perform other job-related duties as assigned and/or required.

County approved Food Handlers Card is required at the time of employment and must be renewed every three years. Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License. Food workers employed in food facilities in San Bernardino County are required to obtain a Certified Food Worker Card from San Bernardino County, Environmental Health Services only.

Please be advised that the District's practice is to not pay third party vendors for job references. Foreign transcript evaluation individuals who have completed course work at an institution in a country other than the United States must obtain a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts/degrees, prior to applying for a position, and attach a copy to the application electronically. The foreign transcripts must be evaluated by one of the approved organizations, listed on the Rialto Unified School District website, in order to be accepted.

These organizations are private enterprises who charge a fee for their services. Individuals pursuing a foreign transcript evaluation must follow the procedures outlined by the organization providing the evaluation. In all instances, original, official documentation will be required when requesting the evaluation.
