Position Summary

The position reports to the Director of Transportation and is responsible for managing and executing the end‑to‑end logistics process for Final Mile, TL, LTL, and parcel shipping deliveries via multiple logistics partners. The role ensures flawless execution by working closely with Delivery Center Leadership, Guest Service Team, Retail Operations, and 3PL partners. It acts as the lead contact for most satellite locations, oversees the execution of delivery orders to external customers on scheduled dates, and champions process‑improvement initiatives within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct data analysis to identify key areas to improve supply‑chain operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Apply analytical mind and strong business acumen to problem‑solving.
  • Drive and support the supply chain to operate smoothly and profitably.
  • Collect and report consistent data for all modes of transportation; develop reporting consistency.
  • Understand customers’ needs and take actions to meet those needs.
  • Review transportation performance with customers against targets, benchmarks, industry trends, and service agreements.
  • Educate on the Final Mile delivery program to optimize cost while improving the guest experience.
  • Model traffic to predict future transportation needs.
  • Research, create cost estimates, negotiate transportation options and contracts.
  • Evaluate carrier operations and inbound/outbound KPIs; facilitate monthly and quarterly market reviews with carrier groups.
  • Responsible for annual budgeting process and monthly P&L statements.
  • Conduct weekly audit of 3PL settlements and submit for accounting processing.
  • Develop a quarterly scorecard that measures market performance and keeps 3PLs aligned with expectations.
  • Plan routes and load scheduling for multi‑drop deliveries.
  • Implement transportation strategies to confront climate change issues.
  • Conduct monthly service reviews to identify business opportunities and operational constraints.
  • Support routing, billing, claims, and workflow management within most satellite markets.
  • Enhance store and delivery team relations.
  • Work with peer groups to remove barriers and improve KPIs.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and adapt to business needs.
  • Foster relationships with business partners.
  • Track KPIs and report on supply‑chain performance.
  • Participate in inter‑departmental task forces to improve supply‑chain performance and reduce transit times.
  • Be familiar with delivery service agreements and contract negotiations.
  • Assist in developing policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
  • Develop supply‑chain reports and metrics.
  • Multi‑task effectively, prioritize, and execute against multiple priorities.
  • Interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines; excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Travel as required.
  • Perform essential duties to meet responsibilities; handle reasonable accommodations for disabilities.

  • Lead and develop Process Managers and employees using performance‑management tools to enhance performance and achieve company goals.
  • Ensure performance goals in productivity, safety, quality, and customer service are set and achieved.
  • Ensure continuous process improvement drives superior customer service and shipping commitments.
  • Maintain and protect company assets (building, equipment, inventory).
  • Conduct LEAN training and implement policies to improve distribution‑center operations.
Qualifications
  • 10‑15 years of relevant experience as a Transportation, 3PL, or supply‑chain leader.
  • Excellent strategic problem‑solving, negotiation, and analytical skills with strong business acumen.
