DescriptionEssential Job Functions:
- Operate CNC cutoff saw, pencil grinders, disk grinders, cutoff wheels, hand drills, and tumblers as needed
- Use basic measuring equipment such as calipers, steel rules, straightedge, and combination square to verify position of metal components
- Apply a basic understanding of blueprints and tolerances that relate to assigned tasks
- Cut sheet to proper length and angle
- Move raw material to the saw with the use of using overhead crane
- Work in a manner in which quality of work and safety while performing work are top priorities
- Keep work area organized and as clean as possible while working and clean up all tooling, machinery and work area when finished with each job
- Notify direct supervisor of any equipment or tooling that is damaged or not working properly
- Maintain accurate inventory and notify supervisor when raw material is low
