Travel RN – Med Surg / Telemetry | Rice Lake, WI

• Facility: Marshfield Medical Center – Rice Lake
• Unit: Med Surg RN (Telemetry) – 32 beds (avg census ~17.5)
• Start Date: 03/02/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Nights, 12s (5:00 pm–5:00 am), primarily Fri–Sun
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
• Experience Required: 2+ years
• Certifications: BLS (ACLS required per unit details)
• EMR: Cerner

Patient Population & Skills:

• COPD, Pneumonia, Afib RVR, DKA, CIWA, cardiac patients
• Telemetry: RNs read own strips
• Drips/Titration: Pressors, insulin, anticoagulants, epi, norepi, vasopressin, angiotensin II
• Phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, cardioversions, tele monitoring
• Strong critical thinking, time management, teamwork

Staffing & Unit Details:

• Ratios: MS ~5:1; IMC 1:2–1:4; ICU 1:3 (step-down style)
• Charge nurse takes assignments; house supervisor present
• 2 aides scheduled each shift
• RT coverage 22 hrs/day (CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, vents)

Scheduling & Policies:

• No block or self-scheduling
• Flex weekends & holidays
• Possible low census placement
• Possible float to ED as helping hand during codes/trauma
• Scrubs: Navy blue (no hoodies)

• Must disclose any prior Marshfield employment; if yes, must be 6 months since end date before submission.
