Farm & Safari Lodge Manager

Our client is looking for a Farm & Lodge Manager who leads infrastructure upkeep, property maintenance, and safety compliance at a self‑catering safari lodge within the iconic Hluhluwe area. You will ensure all facilities are in excellent condition and ready for guests, while managing maintenance personnel and aligning day‑to‑day tasks with operational goals.

• Hands‑on maintenance and repair of lodge facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and structural systems
• Oversee building projects and lodge upgrades from planning to completion
• Manage a small maintenance team and coordinate external contractors when needed
• Ensure all facilities are guest‑ready and comply with safety regulations
• Basic first aid provision and adherence to health & safety protocols
• Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles (including TLB operation or equivalent)

• Pays attention to details, ensuring safety for guests, staff, and wildlife.
• Works well with team members, contractors, and lodge staff.
• Works well under pressure and finds practical solutions to unexpected issues.

• Matric certificate
• Proven experience in building, construction, and property maintenance
• Hospitality or lodge management experience, especially in remote or safari settings, highly desirable
• Practical skills in electrical, plumbing, and structural repairs
• Basic first aid certification
• TLB or equivalent machinery operation license
• Knowledge of animals and wildlife safety protocols
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and leadership skills
• Own vehicle

• Basic Salary: R12,000 – R15,000 per month (depending on experience)
