MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Do you thrive on ensuring safety, quality and efficiency in high-stakes environments? We're seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the planning, execution and delivery of projects, driving success through expert coordination, budget management and stakeholder engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASProject Planning and Coordination- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders for seamless execution, including site visits and assessments.
- Site measurements, Drafting BOQ and executing and assisting with quotes.
- Create and oversee project budgets and monitor expenses.
- Implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Prioritise safety at every stage, ensuring adherence to regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct inspections, provide training and enforce safety protocols.
- Lead diverse teams, including scaffolding, painting and insulation crews, subcontractors and employees.
- Delegate tasks, foster teamwork and promote a positive work environment.
- Handle procurement, delivery and inventory of materials and equipment
- Ensure quality and regular maintenance checks.
- Implement measures to meet specifications.
- Conduct inspections and maintain documentation for audits and repairs.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and resolve issues to prevent delays.
- Act as the main point of contact, delivering updates, reports and presentations to keep everyone informed and aligned.
- Review, negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance and handling changes or disputes.
- Ability to drive enhancements by learning from past projects, seek feedback and implement best practices.
- Grade 12 qualification required
- Project Management Certification or equivalent essential. PMP qualification or a diploma is highly advantageous.
- Proven background in scaffolding, insulation and/or painting industries.
- Strong project management expertise with a track record of leading projects from start to finish.
- Leadership and team management abilities to motivate and resolve conflicts.
- Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, compliance and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in contract and financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and time management skills.
- Stakeholder management expertise to build relationships and manage expectations.
- Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning in an evolving industry.
